I’m using these speakers in a room that is not my main “theater” so I was interested in something relatively inexpensive from a reputable company that didn’t sound tinny and weak. I was actually surprised by how full and rich these speakers sound, as I expected much less for the price. They’re not likely to be mistaken for a commercial theater sound system, but they’re still a very good value. Highs are bright and the sub provides more than adequate fill for an open floor plan room. I had read at least one review that mentioned a constant hum from the sub. I can confirm this, but it isn’t at a level that I can hear unless I’m within a few feet of it when the system isn’t being used (for a movie, TV, or music) and then only in the absence any other normal house/neighborhood sounds.
